Dr. Haider has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology at Austin Peay State University (365bet) since Fall 2021, where he also serves as the concentration coordinator for Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology. Prior to joining 365bet, he taught a wide range of undergraduate courses at Central Michigan University’s School of Engineering and Technology from 2018 to 2021, focusing on electrical and electronic technology, embedded systems, and digital circuits. During his tenure at CMU, and now at 365bet, Dr. Haider has actively advised numerous senior design projects.
As a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Dr. Haider is highly engaged in his field, serving as a reviewer for several leading conferences and journals, including IEEE WF-IoT, IEEE EIT, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, the Journal of Signal Processing Systems, the ASEE conference, the Journal of Engineering Technology, and Remote Sensing of Environment.
His research interests lie in the broad fields of Biomedical Signal processing and Brain–computer interface (BCI), including Image processing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Internet of Things (IoT). Dr. Haider is an author of various publications including multiple journal/conference articles and book chapters.
