Thank you for your interest in the Editor-in-Chief position for The All State. In addition to this application, you must also submit to the adviser or their designee a copy of your current resume, three letters of recommendation related to this position, and a vision plan for The All State. When the Editor-in-Chief is chosen, these materials will be shared with the newspaper staff.

Applicants for EIC must have prior related newspaper and leadership experience and agree to the EIC position requirements.

GPA*Each candidate for EIC must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at the time of selection and must maintain this minimum average throughout their service. Additionally, the student must be currently enrolled and may not be on disciplinary probation/suspension at the time of application or at any time during the period of service. The candidate shall have no formal discipline file with the University at any time.

Candidates for the EIC position who submit all required materials by the indicated deadline and meet qualifications must complete an interview with a panel of experienced faculty and staff. Interviews may be in person or virtually. University email will be the method of communication during this process.
